Imagine this: English, when written, is like a calm waltz – smooth, flowing, and graceful. But speaking? Oh, honey! It’s like doing a tango with a tongue-twister.

You’re never sure if you’re stepping on the “th” or if the “r” is twirling you around. And let’s not even talk about words like “squirrel” – which, by the way, is clearly a word invented by someone who wanted a good laugh at non-natives.

You know those vintage speak-easies where jazz music plays and people whisper the password to get in? English speaking feels somewhat like that.

You think you’ve got the password right (because, hey, you wrote it perfectly!) but when you say it out loud, the bouncer (aka, the listener) looks at you like, “You from around here?” And all you can think is, “Maybe I should’ve stuck to interpretive dance.”

Writing English is like Dr. Jekyll – polite, composed, and eloquent. Speaking, on the other hand, sometimes feels like Mr. Hyde – wild, unpredictable, and occasionally making you want to hide under a table.

One moment you’re confident, thinking “I’ve got this,” and the next, you’re wondering if the sounds coming out of your mouth are even from this planet. Mars, maybe?

That’s like doing karaoke without the screen – you’re belting out, hoping for the best, sometimes mixing verses, and occasionally inventing whole new words!
