How do you want to retire?

The sun is beginning to set over the picturesque mountain landscape, a vista that seems to have been extracted straight from a canvas of divine creation.

My cozy, high-tech home, a gem on the mountainside, glows warmly against the cool backdrop. I’ve always sought solace in the lap of nature and this place, with its tranquil beauty, harmonizes with my soul in an inexplicably beautiful way.

It’s a small house, but with its cutting-edge technology, it adapts to my every need, making my life not only comfortable but also enjoyable.

Everyday, the charm of my retirement is punctuated by the familiar and gratifying pings from my  devices. Notifications, confirming the passive income from my boarding house business, foster a sense of achievement and joy within me.

The idea that my toil and perseverance have translated into a self-sustaining venture, not only grants my financial security but also gives me the opportunity to assist others in their educational journeys. It’s a testament to my hard work, a legacy that embodies my essence, even as i enjoy my tranquil twilight years.

Alongside the regular income notifications, there’s another kind of joy that i relish in these retirement days – the joy of seeing my words, my thoughts, my experiences, spread out in the world.

My writings, my books, have etched my thoughts in the sands of time. Every time a notification confirms the sale of another book, i was reminded of my enduring connection with countless readers. It’s a perpetual profession that i’ve come to love, and it fills me with an ineffable pride, a silent sense of satisfaction that underscores my days.

I find another profound connection through my daily conversations with my children and grandchildren. These cherished interactions, made possible by technology, bridge the geographical gaps, and fill my home with their distant laughter and stories of achievement.

It is a beautiful testament to the branches of my family tree, flourishing and thriving, guided by values and wisdom i helped instill in them. These conversations are the highlight of my days, a reaffirmation of the bond that remains invincible against the limitations of distance.

Yet, in my heart, i’ve found the most profound peace in service to my community. Volunteering at the local mosque, devoting time, energy, and resources to maintaining it has become a way of giving back, a testament to my faith and dedication. Not to mention the orphanage i’ve set up, a beacon of hope for those who start life at a disadvantage.

These endeavors are my investment into the afterlife, a humble endeavor to make the world a kinder place. My soul finds solace in this service, in this selflessness, knowing that my life, even in its sunset, is a source of sunrise for many others.
